Mind-U's facility in Baja California, about 20 minutes from San Diego, was designed around the same five pillars of the clinical program — spaces for psychiatric and medical care, therapy, nutrition, holistic work, and physical movement, all in one place.
Clinical and Medical Spaces
Four private offices support individual and family therapy sessions, alongside a dedicated nursing station for continuous medical monitoring. Mind-U's Detox and Stabilization Area is equipped with ventilators, oxygen generators, cardiac monitors, and a crash cart with defibrillator, with trained staff on hand — built to handle acute psychiatric and medical situations on-site. Living Spaces
Patient bedrooms are designed as private, comfortable spaces for rest — part of a residential environment built for extended stays, not a clinical ward. A dedicated dining room supports the personalized, clinically guided nutrition plan that's part of every patient's care.
Holistic and Outdoor Spaces
The property includes a temazcal for traditional ceremonies, ocean views, a fountain and garden area, a pool, and multiple outdoor terraces and patios — spaces built for the holistic modalities that are part of Mind-U's five-pillar model: equine therapy, art and music therapy, sound therapy, and meditation.
